My God I'm bored!

I know it's been around for a while but I only just looked to see what it's all about!

Just watched a few races and wouldn't want to see any more!

Does anyone play this? From the heady amounts matched I don't think so!

I saw as much as £24 matched on one race!

I am wondering who puts up the initial bets and how they decide on the odds which I have seen
as low as 1.82/2.14 and as high as 34/60!

It has to be Betfair themselves, I am thinking, but what an absolute waste of time.

I have to concede that it is clever, though the repetitive commentaries are a tad aggravating!

Also, to my ears, when he calls "horse number 3" it sounds exactly like "horse number 2"!

Maybe that's to give it some authenticity, in the same way that Martin Brundell says
sikth instead of sixth and Brendan Foster uses the word "metres", twice in every sentence,
but it comes out as "me-as"!

I agree about the commentary- I just blank out the sound!

There is a betting forecast based on 100 runnings of the race, also downloadable form and other frills and stuff.

The trouble is, as you noted, it's blatantly unwatchable and the commentary is crap.

Aunty, I agree with all your comments here.

Three does sound like two to me also!

It must have taken ages, and cost loads to set it up, so why do they fall short
by having only two opening commentaries?

"What an excellent day for a race"........."The stands are really packed today".......zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Actually it would be less naff, and more realistic, if they just had one as in real life.........

"and they're racing".................

It would be more realistic if it included the occasional error from the caller, perhaps calling the wrong horse in a photo finish or something. Maybe even something like this on rare occasions.

Or maybe that's whats happening with the 2 and 3??

The commentary is generated in real time from the position and actions of the horses in the races. it clealry uses pre-recorded sound clips. Anyone offering to commentate?
