At 12:30pm today we made some changes to the Betfair API and it has remained stable throughout this afternoon.

We are continuing to monitor the API closely.

erm why did it fck up in the first place? the outage was allegedly due to a power failure, so why would this screw the api on reboot?

they might not have been switched off for year or so, god knows what has changed in mean time

API was showing similar odd symptoms earlier in the week, so it may not be connected to the power cut.
Power cuts can damage electronic equipment, esp if they are associated with lightning strike.
The h/w configurations BF are using are far from stable imo, a lot went on in December, and we weren't told what it was all about.

The tealady and the cleaner are having difficulty resolving the issue.
The manuals seema bit daunting.

Should have realised there was a problem as my first two doggies didn't go in!
