By:
Thanks,
Can make small money, but very hard to transfer into decent cash. Whats the plan for trading? what will that entail |
By:
find an angle and exploit it until its no longer viable
you can go high risk meaning low stakes but long losing runs but overall profit or low risk meaning high stakes and short losing runs but big losses when you lose |

By:
so are there some arbers you do like?^
|
By:
I just think it is an urban myth.
I know people you make a living betting, card playing and trading. No one i know makes a salary arbing. Just curious if it can make real money. |
By:
it is 100 times harder now.
interesting point is that momentum traders feed off arbers so less arbers = less liquidity on exchanges=less comm for bf and lower profit for traders. an exchange would not work without arbers people dont just wake up one morning and think i will back accrington stanley because they are brilliant but they might arb them . |
By:
so would it be fair to say that you cant make a living just arbing?
|
By:
depends what your expectations are?
in some cases you could make more doing a 9-5 |
By:
trying today and havent found anything 1%
|
By:

|
By:
trying today and havent found anything
you can't have been trying very hard :0 |

It is a lot harder than 4 or 5 years ago having said that my profits are up year on year which I put down to more knowledge and less people crowding the more complex markets.Speed is much more of a factor these days you really need to place bets in less than a minute unless it is a UK book then you will have a little more time. Without a mentor it is very difficult to start now with the intention of becoming full time as you don't really have the "grace period" of easy arbs that existed 4 or 5 years ago to keep you going whilst learning. |
By:
whats the best place to start - have you an example of one online now.
|
By:
which sports do you tend to arb GPT?
|
By:
go look at the Korolev - Dodig market in the Zagreb tennis for an example of what has happened over the last couple of hours
|

what are the best website to use to scan the odds across the bookmakers
|
By:

|
By:
click on the graph and see the odds movement
|
By:
i told you above go to the "thegamblingtimes" forum
dozens doing it everyday and one guy who smashes all the US books make 4k a month without too much trouble |
By:
I wrote an app that compared the odds of betfair vs** on specific markets with the view that the markets will deviate significantly when in play.
I was very right with this assumption, there is the potential for decent money here, the problem was that with the time delay invariably one of the bets wouldn't get matched... |
By:
doesnt have time on that graph, but I get what you mean.
Checked out the "thegamblingtimes" forum, alot of trading, momentum playing. Anyway, more I read the more more i believe its a myth or argument people use for betting What are the best website for checking odds |
