I am thinking that a fair few don't know the answer!
I always believed it to be "Application Programmers Interface".
I have now learned that the correct meaning is......... "Abysmal Performance Invariably"
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and can assure our customers that this is being treated as the top priority and all available resources are working to restore service".
Unfortunately, as it is Sunday, there is only the night security man and tea lady available!

It's all to do with the upcoming public offering, costs have got to be cut, so they didn't pay the electric bill, etc. |
