If you're £0,£0,£30 and your 30 is a 2/1 shot, then you're effectively betting £10 at 2/1 and paying commission as you could be £10/£10/£10.
If it is not correct to stake £10 at 2/1 in this situation, then you should be level. |

Not sure I get this though. The commission will surely be the same percentage wise. ie £1.50 on the £30 and £0.50 on the £10 returns |

The £10 is effectively a free bet being the difference between the back and lay odds that you've acheived and bearing no relation to one's original stake
