Can anyone explain why

Do you have a p power cookie for an account? Remove it and see if it is still there afterwards.

Shapeshifter i have a pp account but havent logged in for about 2 weeks i have deleted all cookies but the pp logo has been appearing before the betfair address for the last few days.It doesnt happen on any other site.Im thinking along the same lines as you,probably a simple explanation but causing slight concern at the mo

Pretty sure this is a problem with IE, try using Firefox (Firefox 3.60 is very good) instead.

Windows has confused your favicon.ico files. Nothing to worry about. They're just little pictures associated with the sites that have them. Sometimes Windows gets them mixed up.
