Has anyone used a netbook on Betfair? Is it a success or not? I tried one today with a Vodafone dongle but haven't managed to get enough of the page up to log in yet. I'd be grateful for any advice .

I use my Dell Mini 10 for Betfair quite a lot via a wide range of WiFi connections no problem.
Haven't tried it with a dongle tho ... i'd guess it would depend on the strength / speed of the Vodafone connection. |

screen a bit small on these, you have to do a lot of scrolling on markets or have text so small that you can hardly read it.

yep ... i have to wear my reading glasses :(
But the good thing is when i go back to using my 17" sreen it looks ginormous. |

have a look at kohjinsha uk (used to be Vye), i used to work for them and they actually do 7" laptops (not netbooks), touchscreen, dvd drive etc, screen turns to tablet form too for easy use.

I'm out on the road right now, using an Acer Aspire One, on O2 dongle. Apart from the rather small screen, the slow refresh rate makes any sort ofr trading virtually impossible, only use it for basic b/f stuff. O2 coverage in S. Wales is very poor, which adds to the misery. This is a company netbook, and if I had paid for it, would be very disappointed. I'm sure there are better out there, gl.

I've found it very useful, and it's paid for itself many times over. I have an eeepc that I bought about 18 months ago.
It can be slow loading pages, and you do have to scroll on markets with a lot of selections like football correct score and probably horse racing markets. I tend to put it on full screen to get a bit more space. Very compact and light. I use it when I'm away from home / traveling so I can still monitor the markets. I also have it as a backup device at home and use it to display live scores. I have a six screen set-up, so I keep that free purely to view markets. |

just a pity gruss or betangel etc can't run of a mobile phone. that would be a plus

Anyone used MIFI, it looks promising.

have a netbook as a back-up. good to carry around and place a few bets on shadow accounts but if you're wanting it for bf, IR especially, forget it.
