Chaps,
Im heading over to the US to see my brother in a couple of weeks. If I need to back something running over here, will I be able to have a bet on Betfair or with online bookies while over there? Or are they blocked?

Get betfair mobile and use that on ya phone out there. It is slighty expensive but not outrageous, just sign in and out quite quickly. Works a treat.

Beware of betting in the USA, the stewards make some strange decisions as regards to interference.

Wedged , are you sure Betfair mobile works from USA ? I thought that was blocked as well.

Thanks Saints. US government doesn't block access to online betting site. Those you can't access from there have blocked themselves from US ip addresses. I guess Hills are taking the chance and still allow access from USA.

Well I was sat at the Boston Red Sox game and the Philly NFL game geeking away on my betfair mobile, worked fine (2008).

If you're in the desert you'll find Vegas. No need for Betfair..
