I was in Orlando for New Year and I rang Betfair I few times for prices, so I could find out the scores in footy matches and the darts.
One day the guy on the phone said there was a lot of noise in the background and I said I was in Disneyland in US and he said, I HAVE to suspend your account despite me not having a bet or attempting to place a bet.
So, the answer to your question is NO! I can't belive that an Englishman can't place a bet whever he is in the world, but it is the case. On my return, I called to say I had returned and they unsuspended the account.
Next yer we r going to Gt Yarmouth.

You can't access Betfair on internet or the phone application thing from USA. I think rest of North and South America is ok though.
I also think you can call them and place bets that way when you are in USA , at least as long as you don't tell them you are calling from USA.

You can remote control a PC in the UK from the USA eg using an iPod Touch you can use VNC to RC your PC that happens to have BF on it.

Or using a PC use Mikogo or simlar.
