Im going to bounce back into this forum with a £1500 bank with the aim of making a profit for the forthcoming year.

Previously, i have delved into some 'unknown' sports which has always been a downfall of mine!. For the past 12months or so i have been heavily involved in football betting, laying CS, match odds etc which i feel is my most favoured subject to bet.

My aim now, is simply to increase my bank by a percentage, per week. The above bank will be split into smaller banks of 10 minimum. I am not looking to place a bet every hour of the day, but will hopefully be able to carefully select games where i feel that i may possess an edge in!, easier said than done i suppose though!.

Total Bank £1500
Total Bank Used £500
Total Profit £0

Bank One £100
(01) Back Man City to win Premier League £100 @ 26.0 (Paddy) Potential Profit £2500
This bet is purely a decent potential trading opportunity, may even let this one ride for the next 4/5 weeks as i can see them getting a possible 15 from 18pts in next 6 fixtures.

Bank Two £150
(01) Back Phil Taylor to win World Championship £150 @ 1.46 Potential Profit £65.62

Bank Three £150
(01) Lay Portsmouth (v Arsenal) £25 @ 7.0 Potential Profit £23.78

GL with this. You might want to read a bit more on bakroll management though. You are putting less money on a trade than on a position. Not to mention that 10% is sky high.

Aaaah the first of the New Year's resolutions rears it's head.
It was only a matter of time.
If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get the same end result.
What will be different?
Why do you think so?
What statistics do you have to have confidence?

Kudos to you for having a go, but this kind of thread is a symptom of an optimistic gambler, not a well thought out and planned investment strategy.

You would be amazed at what just a little effort in statistics will reveal.
I started out trying to gather some data for a project, and I stumbled on a gold mine to my amazement - purely by accident.
The more work you put in, the greater the rewards.

And no, I won't be revealing this one ;)

Good start TOTGA, think Taylor will win Darts and hopefully if Man City can string a few wins together you will be able to lay off for a nice profit. Happy New Year ;)

Any update yet TOTGA ?? ;)

MAN CITY now 15s Jodie.....so going well after last nights' result.......

Based on your initial post I never have bet on PREMIER winner before, but your bet on MAN CITY matched my view that they could well come very close to winning .....so put small bet on them at 30s........I expect this to shorten further.....so will bide my time on this bet ( also layed CHELSEA to gain £30) as could well come off! ( as far as you are concerned it has already put you in trading position ....but suspect you won't trade yet)

Gl with bets.
