going to do a £10 to £2321 challange on my blog http://2betsaday.blogspot.com/ follow along or comment,I will put updates here as well but mainly will be on my blog - here is the gist of it, whats your thoughts...?

Ok , so a couple of days ago I said that I was going to try a new system and here it is. Using compound interest I aim to turn £10 into £2321 in 60 bets over 30 days. It is quite a simple system where I put my entire bank on a 1.1 (1/10) bet and repeat the process. I have made a balance table shown below to show the progress over the days. Without the betfair commission this figure would be £3044 but as there are more markets/liquidity and generally better odds at betfair I will stick to the site. The table is from an excel file I created where the initial stake/odds and bets numbers can be changed and new results are shown using calculations and excel sums. If you would like the excel file for your own personal use send me a comment on the blog and I will send it to you. I will still post 2 bets a day but they will either be smaller odds such as 1.1 or trades where i will advise to back at a higher price and lay at a lower price maybe with a different stake so the bet is hedged and the same amount of money is returned whatever the result, this is particularly good in in play horse racing. At first there is not much risk as I am only risking my initial stake of £10 and it is not until bet 26 that I have exceeded £100, anyway lets see how it goes

I will have a look at todays markets and post my first 2 bets shortly

initial stake odds Bets Result without commission

10 1.1 60 3044.82

Results table with 5% commission

10 1.1 60 2321.48

for full day by day profit table visit the blog :D

thanks mate, just a bit of fun and at least you know, I don't know a huge amount about horses compared to a lot on the horse forum but I think the inplay odds will go just enough ticks over than what i need to make a good trade, I think in play footy would be good as well but i will try and put my bets up in the morning

you are only risking a tenner and then rest is a bonus, thought this would be a good place to post updates rather than the horsey/footy forum, there is another post i have seen on here that i will follow with interest - supernappy £20 - over 100k, I saw a really good blog a couple of years ago where the guy went from 1k to 100k in a year but didn't post his bets as he was trading on each horse race and hedging before the race started, :D

each time (if) i can double my stake i will bank 25% and continue with the remaining 75% until that is doubled and so on.

cant see bolton v hul producing too many goals so the 1st bet is at 1.33 - under 3.5 goals

Do many punters on here do these 1.10+ bets?? I would think pre event trading would be the best way to make it work at those prices.

thanks for the support, bit friendlier around here than the footy forum where everyone with a different opinion gets called a Mug :)

if you stop by the blog don't be shy about giving the ads a couple of clicks please, i have been posting some good tips of late and the ad revenue while not much can help towards these kind of challenges,

onwards and upwards :)

Huge fall in odds before the off for Tenacestream from evens to 1.38 before the off, I got out at 1.7 and will take a small loss and look at another bet as some one knows something with that fall in odds

did not win in the end so my bet would have been ok but did not want to risk it with such a drop in odds, ended up losing £2.63 on that race, will post another bet to make up the loss

Yesterdays bets would have both won had I not wanted to hedge a small loss on the 1st race because of the massive drop in odds before the off, add to this my rash decision of making up that loss in the next race by laying the winner I think I need to tweak this system and be more disciplined.

So, starting the 2nd Jan I will bet of 25% of bank - which will start at £20- on odds no higher than 1.1 . This is similar to the system I started but tweaked here so that I am not risking everything on each bet. The compound interest will be slower to build up but it provides a fall back should 1 bet fails.

what do you guys think of the tweaked system..? Not as fun as the other but less risk

Owen, I don't think horses are the way to go here.

I used to do something similar with horses before and the odds are just unreadable, even with so called trading software.

I've since done it on football and been much more successful but bets have to be in running really such as betting on goals.
By:
Owen1981
When: 01 Jan 10 15:25
yes I agree, will put the 25% of bank on 1 goal or more markets which are usually are around 1.07 - 1.1
