It depends where you go really, some places it is easy to take your laptop and connect via wifi or cable in an internet cafe, in others it can be a nightmare and you will be stuck using the machines in the internet cafe itself. You might be concerned about security if using a local machine though.
I think people have started threads about the countries from which you cant access betfair so have a search. Where are you heading to? |

I dont know yet. I am thinking of going travelling, and using gambling to support my travelling funds. I would like to travel from one country to another, returning to the UK occasionally. Caribbean and South America would be nice.

No can do in the Caribbean. any country that uses US networks will not work. went to 12 islands last year and i could not access B/F from any.

What about using roaming on your phone, doesnt that work? It's strange because online gambling is legal in the Caribbean isnt it?

Roaming on your phone will be too costly. Get a UK VPS and log into it from wherever you are via local internet, Laptop or Cafe. Costs about £25 a month

South America is no problem, Central American perfectly fine too - lived in Colombia for a few years, have been to most countries in Latin America and have been able to access betfair in all of them.
The Caribbean is different...but the Caribbean isnt really a place to go travelling, more to spend a week or 2 on a beach |

If you want to avoid the USA problems whilst in the Caribbean there are ways - if you can arrange to have a computer/laptop left in the UK and connected to the internet permanently then you will be able to remotely access it.

Thanks, its not that I am planning to go travelling right now. I just like the idea of being able to travel and use betting to supply the funds to do that. Evidently it is trickier than it would first seem, and definitely I have to improve my technical knowledge!

It isnt too tricky Srich, depending on the countries that you visit - I have been travelling off and on for the past 5 years. You get used to looking for certain things - internet in the hostel/hotel, speed of it, getting a room with the best signal, making sure that there is an internet cafe nearby...all kinds of crap. Not that I spent that many hours on it.
You dont need to earn much to get by in a lot of places so, depending on what you do, a few hours a week in front of the screen may be all that you need |

Yes, I agree, I am confident I could manage to fund it with the betting, but its just a matter of how it would work. I picture me sitting by the pool with my laptop and drinking a pina colada, winning money and planning my next trip :)

sure - it is the way every gambler should go I reckon. Best decision I have ever made.
Good luck and put a call out for me if you need any South/Central American info |

When you see the weather here, I agree.
