Can someone guide me to whereabouts on the website you can set your account so that you receive promotional emails? I no longer get any at all.

You are missing nothing! I get them and they are all trying to get me to do things I don't want to get involved with. That's what they are trying to do - get you to bet on things you don't currently, or worse still, play on their rubbish casino or arcade games. :(

I recall opting out a few years back. You have a point though about it's stuff you would normally never bet on. After a good think, I'll keep it that way ;-)

Supposed to be sharp minds play on betfair,i wonder how many sharp minds play in there casino and how many play with there sp nonsense.

When Betfair first started up, it was a real punter v punter exchange, where the 'sharp minds' could probably win against the slightly less sharp minded (like me ;) )
However, Betfair forgot their roots and saw the chance to make money out of the very much less sharp minded, who would be stupid enough to play on casino, arcade and exchange games, thinking they could win in the long term. This was a way Betfair Ltd could boost their profits overand above the original commission fees they charged (and of course the PC, which was meant to cream off some of the profits the sharper minds had made. ) To ensure the sucker-in as many mugs as possible, they send out promotional emails with offers of money back and the like, but these are nearly always for things the target of the email doesn't bet on. Still think you are missing something in not getting the promotional emails? ;) |

Mully - if you subscribed you won't be getting any texts, letters or emails with promos, info, free cards etc.
Email the helpdesk, info@betfair.com requesting that you reverse your opt out status and they should be able to help. |

Current ones going around are make a 5 way mug punt, and get half your steak back if one bet lets you down. Whoopty feckin doo.

Don't bother I just seem to get spammed with bloody Multiples offers I'd never do every other day. I wonder if that's because they are mug bets and make pure profit for BF!

Betfair were & still claim to be the punters friend.They charge commision on all multi-bets when they are standing the bets themselves so do not need to do that,no other bookie doe's that.Secondly they pick & choose which bets & markets that they cover.Also they will not let you mix markets or type of bets i.e total goals,90 mins & ht/ft etc.They have gone from championing the plight of the punter to the biggest Dick Turpins in the betting industry.
