Does anyone have a clue what these things are for?
I've had people link me to youtube for longer versions and suchlike, but is there actually any reason that someone would go to betfair after watching one of those adverts?
They come across like a trailer for a series that doesn't exist or something, I have no idea why anyone would come to Betfair after watching one. Couldn't they have got Ian Wright or some other famous names like the other firms do?
I'd actually been linked to that when I asked before and I have to admit I'm still none the wiser.
Are we supposed to have a feel for who these guys are having watched their adverts at random points through the year? The clips never seem long enough to actually get a feel for what on earth is going on or who is winning etc.
I guess that's why i'm not paid zillions to be a marketing guy :(

The number of views these videos have can be explained, by the people in them, technical staff checking they work, asorted other staff and friends.
The reach of these videos just about gets past the betfair canteen but fails to get past reception.

at the risk of a ban - the comapany is largely directionless these days it seems - and that can't be a good thing. Short term greed over consistent outlook often inclusive of blatantly poor strategies.

Could have been interesting if they'd offered a biggish prize (Doesn't need to break the bank, call it £50k) had qualifiers to get on the adverts, had the adverts actually show the leaderboard at the start of the advert, 25 seconds chat through it about who has what this week/day etc etc so we had some interest by the end of the year in who won.
£100 between four random blokes. Nobody cares, or so I would imagine.
