late bets are rightly called losers when they are a returned stake - and when they win they are normally paid out as long as it isnt a ridiculous delays - cant have it both ways

EPOS declares loads of bets void as punters will rush for the off of a horse race or dog race.

If it's off, even only by 5 seconds, your bet is void win or lose.

If it was close and you don't ask, you won't know.
Report the optimist December 13, 2006 10:58 PM GMT
Perhaps uncollected bets should be given to the Gambling Commission.

No chance of the big 3 doing this.

Tell that to the guy who is disputing a 75k payout with a bookmaker, because the first leg of a winning acca was placed 7 seconds late (apparently) in a 2m 4f race around stratford.....

They do have it both ways, and you know it.

backed player first goalscorer at bookies under the stand at the Kassam. double checked that would get stake back if he hadn't taken to the pitch when first goal scored. he wasn't, so was looking forward to getting my fiver back.

went down to his stall after game had finished (within 5 minutes) and the bookie had already packed up and cleared out.

1.Deceased

My Grandad (God bless his soul) died on a Saturady night after phoning me saying he'd had 3 winners on his Lucky 15 that day. We reckon the undertaker took his slip away in his trousers he was wearing but went into Laddies as he told me the wiinners he had.

They paid us out and we had a beer at the wake, the £30 wasn't going in their pockets
