I was just wondering the reason behind bookings odds either not appearing for matches or appearing only very close to the match. Is this because thats when the ref is known or is there not enough money in that specific market etc? If so how do I go about getting money into that market?

Thanks

ok well that solves a small part of the question thanks - also where can you find out the ref early i cant seem to find them lol.

But still the main question applies.

You just put your money in the market at the price you want and see if someone takes it.

yeah but my point is that the market doesnt appear prior to the match or at least not much before the match and asking if thats just me or is there a reason

I asked Betfair that question and it is because the market doesn't see a lot of liquidity and they don't like to put new visitors off by seeing a market with no odds available. It's a bit frustrating when you would actually like to provide some requests and have to wait until nearer the off.

if you are that interested - offer to make the market for them - then if you promise to seed to a non-ridiculous percentage they will put the market up early for you.

never knew they did this, thought there were plenty of markets with large spreads and low liquidity
