Hello,i have had to buy a 2nd hand desktop for the spare room (other one had broken)
We have main PC in living room,and was able to connect spare pc via wireless network
Now the pc we have now in spare room,does not seem to pick up Living room PC up (via wireless network) but does pick up un-secured network around the area
The point i'm making is why is it not picking up the Living Room one,but is picking up others....
Will be something blocking it

It may be to do with the location of the wirelss terminal (router).
The range on these things is not terribly bad, but signal is degraded by walls/ceilings. Consider the angle of the PC to the router - how much wall does it go through (measure the oblique, not just the thickness of the walls). In short, try moving the router somewhere else! |

Hi,not that i'm aware of It worked fine with the broken pc,but swapped into this one it doesn't want to connect to internet It says it has found it,but says Limited or no connectivity,which then won't allow it to surf |

But that 25 feet might be through 24 feet of wall.

Okay. So signal degredation is eliminated.
Check that the wireless router is broadcasting on a signal the network card in the PC can receive. There are lots of different specifications now - older network cards are not always supported by default. |

Also ensure that the wireless router is actually broadcasting a connection. Some routers can be configured to be "hidden" so that they do not appear in the list of available networks.
