The bank charges was an embarassment to him, esp after as it pretty much down to his campaign that everyone got excited, applied to courts and expected to see their money before even the court case had reached a verdict on fairness. Thats a lot of time and small claims court fees down the pan. Prob not his fault, as I doubt anyone expected the decision, but every day on GMTV he'd be waving a huge erection in front of the cameras whenever the topic of bank charges came up. Comes across as an annoying t!t imo, probably like I do.

Is this the guy that also recommended putting savings into icelandic banks because they offered the best rates, weeks before.... BOOM!

his page about putting money in savings accounts said "you can stick £30k in each bank if you want to stay the right side of the FSA guarantee, but frankly a bank is never going to collapse so I just keep all my money in one big lump"

this was swiftly removed when iceland went into meltdown

a couple of years back i ran an online casino

we were desparate for new customers so offered new customers cash-back on their deposits. payout was by cheque with - as i recall - a 6-month delay

MSE picked it up and we recruited thousands of new customers

almost none of them actually played beyond spending their initial deposit

6 months down the track we had a team of people mailing out cheques to those who could be bothered to contact us to remind us about the offer

i admire the guy - not too many people on the side of the little guy in today's corporate world

I reckon that for every £100 Fairbot stake on a book value of 102%, everyone who has done this has lost about £4.
