I placed a cash bet over the counter today and expected them to just place it and give me a receipt. No, I had to write it down on paper. Just the same as it was when I last did a cash bet over the counter 35 years ago.

Yep, they even gave me a pen. They seemed ever so happy when I wrote down the selection, the market and the odds all on one piece of paper at the first attempt.

Do shops still write out Ante Post vouchers ?? I am not sure. I am getting old and my eyesight is going. They could have taken a Poalriod photo of my written slip. |
