Had very slow browser for the past week on both Firefox and IE (to a lesser extent) Helpdesk could not give me a solution but after uninstalling Skype speed is back to normal. Posting this here as I doubt it will ever filter through from Helpdesk to people who might have similar problem

skype is very hungry on bandwidth so with a slowish connection it could make all the difference.
