Hi all,

First off I'm a bit of a technophobe with limited knowledge when it comes to computers...

I'm looking to buy a budget PC. I will be using the computer to surf the net, use betfair, watch movies, download and store movies, music, etc. Thus I'm not looking for a souped-up gaming machine.

Should this do the trick?

with this monitor

I like the idea of having a 24 inch plus monitor for watching movies, two betfair screens, etc.

Any obvious problems with this set-up or is it good value for money?

TIA :)

better value for money getting 2x19" monitors than a single huge one

most modern graphics cards allow this - best to check though

but of course not as good if you want a single screen to watch movies on

i normally use the 2-screen setup personally

Thanks for the link SJ. May go for this http://www.ebuyer.com/product/167153# along with a bit of extra memory and a decent sized monitor. Cheap as ***** Would betfair run ok on it? I have a fairly high-spec laptop and a netbook for when I'm travelling. The netbook has an Atom processor too and it aint too fast

Just noticed that the OS is linux :( I know people think Linux is great. I have it on the eeepc and I prefer Windows.
