why the hell should I pay i've lost it all !

because in the lifetime [period ending (02/11/09 - 08/11/09)] of your a/c - it was in profit and not paying 20% + in charges , hence the PC charge which will be taken today.

It crazy when this happens , one good week followed by one bad week can leave you hundreds of pounds out of pocket.
Win 1000 one week = 800 profit after charge lose 1000 next week = -1000 total -200 |

why the hell should I pay i've lost it all ! Your mistake was losing it in the wrong week, you should have lost it on the last day of your winning week.........it's madness isn't it :^0 |
|
By:
it is a joke, but your losses this week will save you some pc next week
|
|
By:
Even the Inland Revenue let you carry losses forward.
Perhaps betfair could explain what the "fair" part of their name refers to. |

Win 1000 one week = 800 profit after charge lose 1000 next week = -1000 total -200 Actually win £1000 one week = approx £750 after charge due to the Commission Generated scam operated by betunfair. I could just about stomach paying the 20% its the extra theft due to the calculation of Commission Generated thats made me shift exchanges. |

This is so unfair, I didn't lose the same amount I won, I lost even more! that's the silly thing about it. Now I only have 450 dollars in my account if they take 223 pounds (373 dollars) from it i would be left with only 77 dollars!!! this is absurd.
I am going to stick all I have no one bet before 12 o'clock hoping it would win and leave with anything over 77 dollars in my account! So please do suggest a decent bet. I am thinking of backing Clement against Haas. Any ideas? |

i dont want to talk you out of a winning bet but..
ARE YOU CRAZY???????? clement is so inconsistant.. fine he's playing at home.. and i dont know if haas has any injurys(he probably has, he normally does) i would never bet on clement.. in a straight match without injuries haas would have to be sub1.5, more 1.3 imo.. but obviously the market doesnt agree so maybe there is some info people have, or i'm just completely off the mark |

Betunfair is supposed to encourage responsible betting. The premium charge it seems only encourages reckless gambling surely this is wrong!

ok just read he has(had) swine flu..

I've put it all on Clement.

very dodgy if u ask me
|
|
By:
oh well what's not dodgy these days? after the matches i've seen recently (simon yesterday and safin the day before) nothing is logical anymore, it's just a flip of a coin.
|
|
By:
Bad odds for a coin flip. You need 2.25 if you are paying PC.

I've put it all on Clement. Good luck with that project Betty, for all the Hass injury problems down the years he is an absolute warrior and top player, I wouldn't back my last penny against Hass. |

Good result for Betfair, Clement won.
Of course you'll still have the same sized bankroll :| |
|
By:
phewwww! what a match! Clement could have given me a heart attack!
betfair took 371.06 and i won 417.28 from the match so that leaves me with 500 dollars in my account. |

We anticipate that the changes will reduce the number of customers affected by the charge and also the total amount of Premium Charges collected each week.
This quote is now laughable - and still no promised Q/A |

Only because half of them will leave :-) |

Well done Betty.. :)

I've had a successful week last week (02/11/09 - 08/11/09) and I won around 1500 pounds, but in the last two days I had a very unlucky streak and lost more than that amount. Anyways, I've just checked the portal and it says "Premium Charge Applied £ 223.18" Does that mean that i'll have to pay that even if I lost more than I won last week ?!!! it just doesn't make sense any help would be much appreciated. I think it's best considered as a long-term, overall charge even though it is taken in short bursts. It's your overall profitablity that is important not the last 2 weeks worth. It does seem a shame though there is no rebate due for a losing week. |

i'm glad i dont get PC'd i'd much rather they took more commission than taking a big lump sum out once a week
|
|
By:

|

By:

It's great for their rival sites. Keeps the competition in business. When BetUnfair introduced I searched for other exchanges amd joined W.B..X. Last week I paid them over £130 in FAIR commission, BF only about £7. My BF points has dropped from 1500 to 500 as I bet much less here now. I do much more bets on the purple site than BF too now.
