Hi,

Betfair offers two different wallets to his customers.

The UK one and the Australian one.

Regarding the latter, could it be considered by the Australian government that the money earned on this wallet is taxable?

Thx for any help.

I very much doubt it. But despite being only almost sure that I have no liability I am not losing sleep about the Australian Taxation Office trying to extradite me for unpaid Taxes.

Australian tax issues for non Australian residents have been outsourced to an agency in Nigeria. Leave your name, email address and phone number on this thread. You will be contacted within 48 hours. When you are contacted please have available your Passport, Drivers Licsence and at least 2 credit cards (This is necessary for proof of identity and the 100 point ID check). The caller will then confirm your address and the relative information will be sent you.

Dont know if Aus is same as NZ

If it is you should be safe.
However there was a test case about twenty years ago when someone had to pay tax.

I think they more interested in catching up with the ebay brigade. The pro gamblers are a very small group and difficult to pin down
