Guillem Balagué says he's been told by a few people Mbappe has won, he's currently around 2/1 with most of the bookies, Kane still fave. Also Mbappe and Madrid are turning up, when Vinicius didn't win, they boycotted the ceremony. Seems like free money.

The amount of turnover and swings considering the result was already known (by some) was quite staggering. I said to a friend last night that the only way the market makes sense, is that different people thought they knew the result and they were different results.

It reminded me back in the day of a 100m market on here in the Diamond League athletics. Markets that long since have not been offered. You'd normally expect say £200 matched up until 10-15 minutes before the race. But this race had £30k matched, over 100 times the normal. The fave was 1/5 and the 2nd fave was 5/1 and it was 25 bar. The fave was a non runner (back bets were losers) which would've made the 2nd fave a similar price to the original fave. The only problem being was the 2nd fave was another non runner!
