Will Bruno start? Will the midfield run about? Will Carrick still have a job  tonight?

Am I alone in thinking Como were nothing special? They wouldn't have posed many problems for any other EPL side, imo. Utd just weren't trying.

Utd might play badly again as they are just not very good, but I doubt if there will be a repeat of the lack of effort in front of the home fans.

Thanks after the controversy was thinking of having a small bet anytime goalscorer pre game. That thought has long gone.

I watched Dalot at home to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup in 2023. He chucked it and if he was a horse he'd be called in for non trying.

How the f**k he is still stinking up the club is amazing.

Luke Shaw injured yet again.

I saw Phil Jones whinging how a taxi driver told him it was a pity about his career. LOL The abolsute delusion to think he had an even half decent career playing wise. An absolute clown.
Report Racingqueen • October 25, 2026 2:53 PM GMT
Carrick btw was a major culprit in chucking it under Moyes. He can blame no one.
Report SirNorbertClarke • October 25, 2026 2:53 PM GMT

Report Racingqueen • October 25, 2026 3:01 PM GMT
Amateur error him dropping Cunha and Bruno. Thats what they want. The first rule is when you play bad, you play your big name players and force them to take the blame. Bruno will be getting excuses now when they'd be no better if he played.

Report Des Pond • October 25, 2026 3:35 PM GMT
yea, Carrick should've played Bruno 2nd half. Still would've got beaten, then he could say, well Bruno did nothing to help. Then gets his payout, anyway.

Report ALIEN SEX FIEND • October 25, 2026 3:59 PM GMT
United I am not sure, during a period of each Manager they have looked like they are building something and then it falls away. It cannot be the Manager everytime, then the old saying replace a squad or 1 manager. What the Manager cannot legislate for are poor mistakes like start of the 2nd half. Carrick should just walk, it is not good for his health and I would drop Bruno and put him the reserves he is slagging off the Manager he was good, however he is not interested. Let him go in the Winter transfer market, ps I am not a Man U fan, just going on what I see.
Report maleuk01. • October 25, 2026 4:10 PM GMT
If you intend Bruno to take no part in the game, why put him on the bench?

1-0, 2-0 down, was the sensible sub.

Why not leave him in the stands and let a youngster experience it.

Bruno will not like that, no chance Carrick could ever patch it up now with Bruno.

Must know a result like that means a sacking on its way.
Report Des Pond • October 25, 2026 4:12 PM GMT
not sure it would be a good experience for a youngster, unless they somehow got a result.
Report maleuk01. • October 25, 2026 4:20 PM GMT
Didn't have to bring the youngster on, just experience of being around first team i mean.

Think Carra was right on Sky, maybe its just to embarrass Bruno, really p1$$ him off, which i presume it has. But Bruno probably chuckling on the inside right now.
Report ----you-have-to-laugh--- • October 25, 2026 4:33 PM GMT
Carrick should have clamped down on first guy to go off to the press.

Bruno is his best player.

It's a bit of a management failure if this doesn't spur him on for future games.

Good managers know their players and how to get best from them. Carrick had his hands off the wheel and maybe this is his masterstroke, or maybe he becomes another casualty of search for success
Report HoratioNelson • October 25, 2026 4:34 PM GMT
Brunos house was burgled this week....would you still perform in the same way at work if you'd been burgled?
Report maleuk01. • October 25, 2026 4:38 PM GMT
Agree Horatio, mind elsewhere due to personal situation as well.

So why have him on the bench, if you ain't going to bring him on when 1 or 2-0 down.
Report SirNorbertClarke • October 25, 2026 4:46 PM GMT

I understand that SNC

surely that's down to management, or he's just a wrong'un.

Plenty will splash out for Bruno f, could be a plan, but losing best player never easy, even if in reality he had already gone.

Up to ineos to bang their heeds together if there is a dispute damaging the club.

Successive managers have been seen off by the dressing room there.
The players have far too much power and most are simply not good enough

17/1 for relegation ...sadly there are too many other poor teams down there ready to prop them up ...bit like Spurs last season

Palace are bang in the relegation zone dogfight already, no doubt about that.

Today's performance was the worst I've seen for quite a long time.

Next up is Spurs away followed Liverpool at home and I can't see much joy in either of those two games.

not too long ago it was always the 3 promoted sides struggling and cut adrift by Guy Fawkes  ...now they seem to be holding up well  ...it's now a mini league of 6
