wondering if this could be Carrick's last game in charge, Conte's reps have let the club know he's available and ready to take over, losing or even drawing here could be the excuse the United hierarchy need to move him on, Como are no mugs, 4th in Italy last season, currently 5th this season with Fabregas in charge. Have a feeling Carrick may also rest players ahead of the Bournemouth game on the weekend.

Small gains, Athletico scored in the first minute, Como took 3 times as long, that's something to build on for Carrick and his fresh start.

Two poor teams, obviously Man U's problems are a lot more than a change of manager can fix, but they could at least put some effort in.
I think the poor running stats for United players is rather harsh, they never leave their own half so only have half the pitch to run about in compared to the other team.

he was pretty good in his first season but he's not really a modern RB - probably best in a 3 which Utd no longer play..only just back from injury but agree not offering enough though you could level that anyone bar the keeper currently..

I'd say they've given up on him personally..but they do it to most managers in recent years..all seem to believe they are great players under the wrong manager..
Carrick has all the charisma of a wet cloth, but he deserves better than this from these players.
