They obv do have an interest which is why it's at 2am, and they are used to paying extortionate prices. According to the Yougov tracker they are the 3rd and 10th most popular boxing personalities in the USA

Fight is not on until the first punch is thrown with these two. If it happens.. 2 boxers well passed their prime that was average. Fury seemed ok however shown in time a bad crop except for Usyk, and he is not that great. I have been reliably informed they are thinking of a big arrival to the ring for both. 2 MOBILITY scooters will be provided.

Why would they have it at 2AM if the Americans have no interest? Hearn has already said they'd all have made millions more if it was in the US, even at 2AM UK time.

I've only been to one boxing event in my life at The Royal Albert Hall. The headline was a world title fight around 1990 (Michael Watson v Mike McCallum). The betting was evens each of two and I had £40 with one of the guys I went with on McCallum which was the price of the ticket, would be £100 in today's money (Lennox Lewis was also on the bill in an early mismatch) It was a great fight and a great experience. The venue was perfect for boxing and my abiding memory was how tv doesn't pick up on the power in the punches. I suspect a similar ticket would be about £400 today and in a massive football stadium which just wouldn't be the same experience. I'd sooner spend the money on meals out and a holiday |

Joshua has had one fight in America and he lost that to Ruiz, I don't think there's that much appetite there for him which he knows and which is why he's asked for it to be in the UK, Fury would be the selling point but even he's way past his best.
They could have made more money in America but only because Turki, the Saudi backers and Netflix who are putting up the money, really wanted to stage a fight there at Prime time. |

I went Bruno Tyson 2 in Vegas 1996. £365 a ticket, I was probably on about £200 a week then. We had a look in the arena the day before & simply couldn't believe it.
We walked in on fight night with our £300 tickets onto a concourse about 30 rows from the ring & thought we'd cracked it. A woman looked at my mate's ticket & said, you're up there honey, pointing skyward. She wasn't wrong, 1 row from the back!!! Still the best sporting event I've ever been to. The atmosphere when they came out was something I'll never experience again. |

Jeez…. Would love to go to see a decent fight at the Royal Albert Hall but they don’t seem to do them now. Saw Tom Petty there though and it is an unbelievable venue. |

That's all Jake Paul's doing, it was an exhibition fight. Paul is a box office star over there, the numbers were down to him.

But they're still all gormless Paul fanboys who probably go back to watching his low brow content on youtube once his fights are over. Was strange the thought of Fury v Joshua in America instead of where it should be. Netflix and the Saudis must really think they can get mega buys from the American ppv audience, their price point for ppv's over there are much higher than it is here, are they really going to fork out in their droves nigh on 100 dollars two watch two clapped out Brits. In their minds it sounds great in theory, heavyweight clash, prime time America, but they will probably find out they're going to be short changed over there. It will sell, but not the numbers they probably want.
