2 perverse penalty calls in 2/2 PL away games so far. One already admitted, the other to follow shortly

Raya and Guimaraes fantastic for superb Arsenal.
BBC MofD: Ashley Williams & Thomas Frank both agree with Arteta the penalty should never have been given. Sunderland player held Arsenal defender left shoulder pulling him down and on top of him. Correct decison should have been free kick Arsenal. Arsenal should have been awarded a penalty at Aston Villa for Ian Maatsen's challenge on Bruno Guimaraes, the Premier League's Key Match Incidents Panel has ruled. The KMI Panel added that the Villa defender should also have received a second yellow card for the foul, and been sent off. |

When a defender has both arms around a forward in the penalty box they always run the risk of giving away a penalty.
A question Arsenal apologists need to answer is; for what reason did their defender have both arms around the Sunderland forward? Arsenal needn't have worried though, VAR ignored Raya leaving his line before the ball was struck. |

Funniest incident in the game was Bruno Guimaraes going down towards the end, as if shot, and not being sure if he was on the pitch or not so rolling 2 metres back on to the pitch before continuing to writhe
![]() He's only been there a month and he's already a seasoned Arsenal cheat. |

He didnt gave both arms around him. But dont let the facts get in the way of your anti Arsenal seething.

He does in the freeze frame on my computer.
It is a pity we can no longer upload quick pix |

Point taken, Norbert.
But there's not a team in the Prem that doesn't cheat to gain an advantage. Been going on forever. |

Ah diddums, Arsenal are winning and United are not.

The wrestling needs stamping out.
And managers need to stop whining when Refs enforce the rules. Their jobs are hard enough as it is. |

It looked like a pelanty at first view
The guys on motd showed that it wasn't, but would var spot all that in 2 minutes, clear and obvious... Hmmmm? Goalie came off his line to save it by look of it too, but probably best ignored. |

VAR check and are watching keepers moving off of their lines for all pens, if you slow the video down to it's slowest speed and wait for contact with the ball, Raya's right foot is on the line

Yeah, really need the goal line camera to be certain, and maybe there's no clear view of that available (that I can see.)
His foot is off line but could be still on the plain of the line, so he might be OK. |
|
By:
Raya's right foot is on the goal line when the penalty is stuck, TNT clearly showed that on freeze frame,
The goalkeeper must have at least part of one foot touching, in line with, or behind the goal line at the moment the ball is kicked. They cannot stand completely in front of or behind the goal line. |

Must be hard for United fans, 13 years going on 14 since they last won the league, all the while they have to watch Arsenal, Liverpool and City clean up, so like empty vessels they still make the loudest noises to be noticed and stay relevant maybe next year lads lol.
Kind Regards. |

Arsenal demand meeting with Pro Ref over penalty decision at Sunderland
I hope the Refs are going to bring up Bruno Guimaraes' playacting at this meeting. Sauce for the goose... |
