The seedings are calculated by teams performances in Europe, and if new they
take coefficient of home authority.

Some countries have teams directly into league phase whereas other countries' teams must go through qualifying round(s)

Once the 32 teams are known they are ranked into 4 groups of 8. Based on coefficients and forgetting how they arrived at league stage.

In the league phase you get 2 teams from each pot, but cannot face teams from your domestic league.

League games are spread out over first 7 weeks but all 16 games are played simultaneously in week 8 to mitigate advantage
of knowing what might be needed.

You do get points for previous European performances.

But it's 4 years not just last season.

And points in lower euro comps count too.

It's a sort of lottery, but complicated by
some countries having lots of teams in same pot, forcing odd happenings. Last season non English teams in pot 1 had to play 2 English teams in league stage.

Yep it's quite complicated, but fairer now than it's been.

And yeah, champions league isn't the best name with so many non champions competing.

Often get some high scoring games

Good luck with your bets

Real need to get club harmony sorted, if they do then they have a good shot at it.
