Have they gone under the radar from a betting perspective this season.
Last season they finished 3rd -one point off the automatic promotion places. Apart from the promoted sides they had the best away record in the league with only 4 losses and 11 wins. their home form was not too shabby either with 13 wins.
Most of the key players have been retained and Alex Reid is a canny Scottish manager.
They are definatly worth looking at this season for outright, handicap and top 6/8 markets where i reckon they represent value.
Ive had a nibble at them in the ante post markets and at 12/5 today ive had a bit on them to beat Bristol City away today. Bristol lost 10 home games last season and have a new manager in charge (ex Lincoln boss) after Roy Hodgson saved their season for them last year.

second game in a row we have played attacking football.....completely different from how we finished the year....new players are turning out to be shrewed buys and we are not missing femi who will have a brighton shirt on before the end of september....with a 6pt +5 goal difference we will probably still be top after todays games....lets hope it continues...

it would be fantastic if we did a Hearts and continue to retain the top position with everyone else still thinking its only temporary.....if that is the case....i only hope it ends differently...
good enough for them but how far was the charlton player encroaching on that last min pen for wet ham, VAR would have had that retaken

3.95 away at soton seems a big price for a team thats won its opening two games and had the best away record last season of the teams that remain in the league from season

Where I grew up, Charlton were the nearest team and quite a few of my schoolmates supported them, the rest of us were Millwall, with a few supporting North London clubs.
Theo Foley was the manager at the Valley, I knew his son and used to get in free.
For anyone that doesn't know, the Valley was a big ground with one stand and the other 3 sides terraced. The side opposite the stand went back for ever, I think it was the biggest single terrace in the country.
I don't mind them, just can't have them being above us in the league.

The stadium capacity was 75k, with the East terrace i referred to, holding 35k people on its own, to give you more idea of how big it was.

I'm gonna have a dabble on the Stones for old times sake at 12s outright, playing home to WSM this Saturday, BTW...can't see an outstanding team in the division
Also gonna back Hereford at 20s outright in the NLNorth...started OK, biggest potential support in the division, so hopefully financial backing from the board in January if doing OK...got a lot of mates who are season ticket holders at Hereford, telling me they like what they're seeing at Edgar Street...fantastic old fashioned football ground if you've never been there

The club is holding an investigation as many of those injuries happened in training or warm ups……jenson saved four penalties got injured in trading before the next game and out for the year……
did you see we played a 15 year old and a 17 year old in our cup match with Newcastle....we played well and the 0-1 probably told the correct tale....they brought on two subs at 0-0 both £51 million players....

So I was surprised to see Boro 1.60/1.61 and thus laid them.
I tend to bet based on value not on who will win etc.
Value is when you get a price that is better than my real predicted outcomes.

decent game, high octane from boro in 2nd half but kamakzie one on one defending at back,1 traight ball and millwall right on to of us around out box all 1st 45
never been so pleased to see the international break and as for three weeks shame we couldnt make it four...when we return its straight into a Saturday Tuesday week then no midweeks for three weeks so by November hopefully the squad can be replenished and we will not have to suffer the indignity of running out of petrol while playing our greatest rivals with limited options.....which also happen at Middlesborough.....although their comback was more than that....

Was more gutted yesterday than when splitting with an ex after 15 years, should have been out of sight at HT, what that game and Middlesboro game told me was when all our players are fit we are a match for anyone.
