Recuring, almost every 3 years-ish... This time I must have turned awkwardly in bed. Started with a slight twinge, 3 days later, Cant stand, cant sit, cant lay down.. Crazy

I sometimes put it down to complacency, I forget what might happen if I get too ambitious with lifting heavy objects..

Try some gentle traction. Other than that, time.

I posted some very helpful information on this thread earlier this morning. It has now disappeared. It was helpful, non controversial & not insulting. I can't imagine it was reported so must have been removed by the mods. White flag raised. I stopped posting previously because of this & returned for the Goodwood festival & a bit longer because I'm housebound at the moment. Don't think I'll bother, frankly. IT'S RIDICULOUS!

Probably removed after triggering some AI bot. I don't think there are human mods here.

I had no Idea my symptoms were more frequently diagnosed or discussed within the gay and bisexual men's community. Thanks for pointing that out ftg..  But youre barking up the wrong tree with me..

Hanging from a bar for a minute or look up Joe Hippensteel's Ultimate Human Performance basic course. If you can do his stretches (which take hours and feel like torture), 90+% of lower back problems go away. You may be too old for that type of pain/discomfort, however.

non-p1sstake response, see a physio for a proper diagnosis and exercise plan, you want to treat the cause not the symptoms.

Being overweight can cause issues for lower back, and most instances if not from injury like moving heavy objects are big belly pulling down via gravitational force and putting strain on pelvis, lower back  gets pulled out of alignment.

Lose some weight, take some exercise and kick the jellies into touch.

I'm a trim 17 stone.. I love to exercise.. I never touch jellies..

Sometimes moving heavy objects can catch me off guard.. In a couple of weeks this episode will be forgotten.

Must remember not to become complacent! is the trick.

See an osteopath. No-one on here knows your exact circumstances and can't give anything other than well meant advice, but it might just be wrong for you.

Staying well hydrated and taking electrolytes helps for muscle spasms
By:

It might be dehydration from the hot weather was a contributory factor.
