surprised to see him in all the gambling ads. These are his principles, and if you don't like them...well, he has others

In an industry that bathes itself in verbal diarrhoea, keane brings some much needed brevity.

Him and Micah are there solely for comic relief. Two clowns.

Says it like it is and much better than the likes of Shearer who'll shy away from saying anything negative about any player
regardless of how bad they've played.

Making money good money, easier money than being a head coach which he wasn’t great at, absolutely brilliant footballer in his day.

Says it like it is...kind of!! but he's also embraced the caricature of himself which is clearly on display in the ads he now does which kind of makes you think that he's sold himself down the river a bit.

It's a little bit like when Iggy Pop was pilloried by fans for selling out to appear in a car insurance ad.

I want Keane growling and snarling on camera at a player for not working back or making a tackle not by milking that personna for comedy as it just makes you wonder that his anger on screen is really a pretence and he's just trying exploit that niche he's created for himself.

And why not
Report duffy July 12, 2026 10:20 PM BST
Yeah, why not, I would just like Keane's reaction when approached to do one of those comedy ads would be something along the lines of, F00K off not interested in line with the personna I loved on the pitch and what made him my favourite United player of all time, but I'm clearly being naive, who wouldn't take the money.

It's just that in his particular case it detracts from the sincerity of his delivery on screen when he is analysing...such as it is.

Has his daughter on the overlap promoting her business

He'd have raged and slágged another play off for doing the same thing.

Good value in general, but I prefer listening to proper insightful football analysts such as Tim Vickery.

Kind Regards.
