Belgium beat the US 5-2 about 3 months ago. I believe the Jordan ref, Makhadmeh, dished out 2 cards each in NZ v Belgium and England v DR Congo.
USA will have some advantage having played a group game in Seattle so far. Game will played in the hottest part of the day according to forecasts of around 26 degrees Celsius.

I heard that even if Belgium lose this, the result could be overturned by the court of arbitration for sport with Belgium reinstated if they appeal against the result due to Balogun's inclusion, without knowing the technicalities of whether they have a leg to stand on or not, I'd imagine it's probably a 0.01% chance of that happening.

Exactly. I didn't care about the outcome till the debacle with Trump and FIFA and the red card. Now I'm delighted they've been humiliated.

Remarkable that it took a sense of injustice to finally get a performance out of Belgium..you might think playing in a World Cup alone would motivate..sad to say I think they also benefited from DeBruyne not starting..
USA put in one of the flattest host nation performances you could wish to see...no energy from players or crowd..looked like they were playing a dead rubber group game..very odd..whilst they are no world beaters you'd have expected something very different to that.
