I cannot listen to either Alan Shearer or Lee Dixon commentary anymore

I’m sure there’s another option rather than turning the TV off. It will come to me soon!!

Shearer is showing off even more than usual, probably because they're in the States.

You wouldn't want to be lying in bed terminally ill and Shearer, Dixon or Murphy poke their head round the door.

He’s so boring. Desperately trying to be entertaining but he’s just not.

There has to be a better format than the current one.

Years ago pressing the red button gave the option for crown noise only with no commentary. I’d rather listen to the referee and linesman than these commentators.

Whenever I watch MOTD, I mute the TV between games.

Commentaries, I can cope with and the pundit attached gives some sort or analysis throughout the match, which is more than enough for me. Why then we need to have 2-3 mostly ex professionals going through the detail at half time, nevermind before the game, I do not know.

It's a tried and tested format, which no one has the balls to change. I don't bother tuning it at half times. I'd be happy enough with some magazine piece around teams or news stories rather than pundits telling me stuff I don't need to know. That would save the TV companies a lot in unnecessary fees.

Why is Rooney on BBC as a pundit? The man is a terrible manager. He's had so many opportunities but relegation and sackings are common with him.

Lee Dixon is the (well mine anyway) worst commentator there has been on so far.
His agent must have magic beans to get him the gig.

Truly mind numbingly appalling.

RTE 2 (Irish TV) have one co-commenator who talks non-stop for 90 minutes plus additional time about anything that comes into his head.
You start praying for a bit of silence, let the action on the field speak.

Good commentators do not get in the way of the action.

Kelly's ok but I preferred her as Tanya in Eastenders.
