I think the point is thus, Kane has all the pretty passes and flicks and goals whereas Haaland just has the goals, that means that Kane is better, the more complete operator....simples

If they were both 25/26 I'd pay about the same for both but depends what style of player you want..

Kane is never going to be a threat to run in behind with pace (never was) and doesn't have the strength to hold players off to the extent of Haaland (though he is obvs good at it)..

Kane has far better link up play and could even play as a 10 if you wanted though probably a bit of a waste to do so..

I don't say this as Anti-Kane disguised as Anti Tottenham, but he has nothing on his CV of note, the Bundesliga is on a par with the Carabao Cup in terms of value, that's if you win it with Bayern, win anything domestically with Bayern, they completely outspend every other German club on wages and transfers hence why they've won something like 13 of the last 14 league titles, they took Lewanandowski off of Dortmund because they could. Other German clubs can't compete, it's a one team league.

His time there would only be validated in they won the Champions League. It's where you go for cheap medals, it's where the second rung on top tier players go, Robben, Ribery etc, not your Prime Mbappes, Messi's, Haaland, Ronaldo's.

He has to win the World Cup and play a key part in it, the Champions League, or a respectable domestic league where there's at least 2 sides going at it, which basically means Spain or England, to be considered one of the games best.

Dropping deep and spraying 50 yard passes so people can pat him on the back as an 'all round player' is not going to mean anything long term, won absolutely nothing of note unlike the aforementioned.

It's just a stepping stone to Madrid or Barca as neither had heard of him when he went to Bayern, he had to go there as a temporary measure, like Haaland just passing through, Ribery and Robben spent years and years there.

Kane was good enough to go to City when Pep wanted him, but his dopey brother had no release clause in his contract, his ability is not in question, but the value of his achievements is, is he really going to sit on the beach at the end of his career and be satisfied with Bundesliga titles when there was no competition? Thought Robben was a bit older when he went there, he was top drawer at his best but he had proven himself already, so maybe that example doesn't work in fairness, but in general where do World class players in their prime want to go, it's not Germany is it, it's the two big Spanish clubs or the big English clubs.
