Does anyone else think he mumbles and speaks too quietly, from time to time?

ITV had an all time great in Clive Tyldesley.
Got rid of him for Matterface, who couldn't lick Clive's boots. Then pair him up with Dixon. The pair of them are useless. |

The co-commentator Catch-22, anyone equipped to do the job would never be seen dead doing it.

For some reason they decided to pension Tyldesley off at pension age when he seemed to have his marbles, didn't slur his words and still sounded as sharp as he ever did, unlike Murray Walker who was making clear mistakes into older age in Formula 1.
Seems to be a simple case of ageism. Replacing Tyldesley and Townsend and Matterface and Dixon is like replacing prime Claudia Schiffer and Kate Moss with Dianne Abbott and Ann Widdecombe. They all know how to do their job but you can't replicate the selling point, the voice, the tones that makes listening easy on the ear, Matterface has a personality to boot that only a mother could love, defensive and narky, Dixon sounds dull and is dull. Not for me Clive. Kind Regards. |

rightly or wrongly for better or worse there's been billions spent on the game and DIXON commentates as though he,s been airlifted from the ide of a Sunday morning football pitch watching his kids in 1982
ball can move faster than you hit in to acres of grass and chase after it ball down the line man on out,out,out, like her /it or hate her /it ,the chances of dixon either understanding or explaining tactics of the game like Hayes is somewhere between a million and a billion to 1 ,and it aint a million |
