looks like a half decent passing game so far, surprising as I never knew before that the pitch was as bad as it looks, as it's in colour, lots of cut up muddy patches, must have been difficult to play on.

Every time he says ball in that posh voice, it sounds like 'four', so I think he's beginning a countdown til the end of the match

Hearing ITV's version of the final moments isn't the same, you need the 'they think it's all over, it is now' line

It's like when the show Solskjaer's 99 goal without Clyde Tyldesley commentary 'into Giggs', SHERINGHAM'and 'Solskjaer has won it'

or Martin Tyler's Agueroooooooooooo commentary, the BBC makes the goal seem so tame.

Great skill in being a great commentator.

The ITV commentator was good old Hugh Johns, often heard on The Big Match revisited on ITV4

The fastest the Germans ran all match was when the ref conferred with the linesman about Hurst's 2nd goal, and when he gave it they bombed over to him like no one's business.

Some of the lads won't have played in boots 2 sizes too big (you'll grow into them)
with 2 pairs of thick socks, moulded soles, then trying to shoe horn them on
2 years later, after out growing them.

Happy days, when they actually fit, for 6 months or so.
