In Argentina this Sunday to watch his hometown club play a play off final, whilst the club he's captain of and who's paying him near 200k a week, will be battling against relegation a few thousand miles away. Some captain!

If this turns out to be true then he knows what he can do. And if it is true then he knows the fans will want him gone, which is exactly what he wants. This much has been evident for quite some time. Never known a club captain to miss the last game of the season, especially at home. Sickening. |

I think it's because he knows he's leaving regardless of where Tottenham finish so just doesn't care anymore. Probably Atletico bound.

I'm more concerned that the club has sanctioned this. I've always believed they are in control of the player on match days.
