That is why var was brought in 0-shameful to not change t0 a red. Just hand them the title now, shameful from the refs - its that obvious it should be red on the refs eyeline and why give a yellow!

Worst EPL season ever. Thing is Arsenal should be defending the title. They should've won last season as well, but nobody realised how bad Liverpool were and somehow they got away with it. p.S. I hope nobody was daft enough to lay 1-0.

high with studs up from behind.... red card all day long.
Considering the reds weve seen this season, that cant be anything other then a red card. VAR are pushing the agenda to make it as shocking as possible to get rid of it. handing arsenal a mockery title

would it have been a red card if it was a burnley player chopping down an arsenal player from behind, high, studs up and with the ball nowhere in sight ?

rip the excitement of the premier league. no more liverpool v newcastle goalfests. just keep possession, play slowly, get corners and free kicks and score from them

Where did the extra 2 mins come from at the end? was 7 mins, but ref played well over 9.
Paul Tierney is from Greater Manchester, surprised he was allowed to ref this match.

There have been a few articles (from London baed journos) asking why people 'hate' Arsenal'. Maybe they should read the reports of this match, so called respected journos spend more time (3 lines) writing about a pen than no one with a football brain thought a pen despite Artetas nonsense but failed to mention the most obvious red card of the seaosn from the goalscorer.
Its not as if arsenal need the help as everyone (else) is utter sheet this year!

I watched the interview after the match and Arteta said he hadn't had time to look at the penalty incident and would look at it as part of the post match review with the players. He did go mental on the touchline at the time, presumably like the rest of us, not understanding why Saka hadn't swept it into the net. It wasn't a penalty, the officials got it right, Saka just fractionally too late.
How Havertz wasn't sent off is hard to fathom, initially the referee and then VAR who had the benefit to review it. Havertz's towering header was a superbly crafted goal, but that tackle in the middle of the park was very poor decision-making from him.

Used to hate Citeh for their tika taka ruining football.
Arteta found a way to beat tika taka so everybody hates them.
Arteta stands up for his team, catches the flack so he's hated too, doing a great job for his players, who seem a bit flaky under pressure.

Just...last night. Will they win this time? A draw in their last game may not be enough, assuming City wins both their remaining games. Both their last game is at 4pm this sunday.

I think we know the permutations mate. Palace will have their slippers on for their Euro final a few days later. I can't see them overly exerting themselves tbh.
