First time in the second tier since 1961.

I well remember Lincoln being the first team ever relegated out of the league in 1987.

Radio 2 chose the Burnley game as their live commentary on the last day of the season (surely only time a 4th division match had that) as it seemed like a big deal that Burnley were going into non league.

No one cared much that it ended up being Lincoln instead.

Tobermory, well done to them
I remember Sincil Bank, do they still play there? ,having 3 stands on one side of the ground...it was like they'd built a new one, very small, every time they'd got a few quid back in the 50s, 60s

looks like they do!

Sincil Bank Stadium,[2] known for sponsorship reasons as LNER Stadium, is a football stadium in Lincoln, England, which has been the home of Lincoln City since 1895.

Capacity: 10,669

Must be one of the oldest grounds in the country, though,  as you say, all the stands rebuilt so it's the same ground in the sense of The Ship of Theseus(or Trigger's broom)

When I was growing up as a kid in Nottingham, Lincoln always featured in the football Post, a pink paper delivered to our door on Saturday evenings. I read all the reports and gossip including those of Mansfield, Chesterfield, Derby, Forest, Notts and Leicester. To this day, I'm happy to see those teams doing well.
