Due to injury

Suppose if the only way u can win a trophy is to gain advantage from feigning injuries, then dont be all moaning when the media, pundits and fans all discredit your victory as shallow and not worthy.

Not the first time Arsenal have done this. Can u imagine if they choke now, it be the funniest most monumental bottling ever to exist!

They pay their wages so for waste of time friendlies it's fair enough. In fact all clubs should do the same then FIFA might get the message.

Disgrace

Your country ask u to play, u play

It’s the highest privilege there is. Dwarves all competitions

England v Japan does not dwarf the Premier league.

I wouldn't play for my country. I'd much prefer 2 weeks off in the sun.

You are losing it more by the week. Every club contending for titles does this. Fergie pressured his players to retire altogether. How many internationals did Giggs miss?

In a world cup year it makes sense to rest them now, especially Arsenal players who are all overplayed. They will be cooked for the world cup and that's not in their or England etc's interest.

Absolutely lurka, only fringe players should be called up
so manager can finalise his squad.

Although it's not just England players.

Smart move by Arteta. As already mentioned Fergie was the master of this.

Spot on.
Fergie even took it so far as to not enter ManU into the FA Cup in 2000.

He was the first manager I remember to deliberately field weakened sides in the League & FA Cups.
As mentioned above, when it came to international call-ups, he took the absolute pi55.

Seems those with ADS have very short memories.

If you were a lower Premier league team you never
got to see fergies first team.. No strength in depth
in prem league back then.

Oh look at Martin Kewon (Lurka) jumping to the defence of Arsenal.

Guarantee that if these players fell on hard times and weren’t footballers they would happily take help from their country, but when it comes to representing their country, they feign injury to gain some sort of advantage in their quest for success because they can’t get over the line without it

Now 11 players returned to Arsenal. All likely to be out training on Thursday already being reported. As Tuchel says “it’s just disappointing”

Arteta does this all the time, utter disgrace. He should concentrate on the billion pound squad he assembled playing to win football

Just looked at the table and can only conclude that Spurs had withdrawn all of their players from competing in the Premier League since the opening day of the season.

How many more Arsenal threads are you going to start before the end of the season?
You are obsessed, spend more time talking about them than Spurs.

Arsenal didn't pull 10 players out either. Most of them were already either injured (Saliba, Eze, Timber), deemed unfit when they turned up for international duty (Trossard) or got injured playing (Madueke, Gabriel).

Endless anti Arsenal rhetoric completely obsessed, get a life and stop spouting such drivel.

n matches that actually meant something, Calafiori played as did Gyokeres who scored a hattrick. Madueke played as did White who scored England's goal and plenty of players (who will be going to the world cup) from other teams did not feature in meaningless friendlies.

Pretty common practice to do that though. Funny how they always make a miraculous recovery after the International period.
