If that's the best we have at the back then the later stages of the WC are going to look like the last couple of weeks in the CL:-
Pickford + perm any 4 from 3 Newcastle defenders, 3 City defenders (Guehi plays for them now BTW), a Spurs defender, a Villa defender, 2 PL rejects and Harry Maguire. |

Good to see him resting players who've played 3500 minutes or more. Benefits England too as they'd be gassed for the WC. A lot of defenders who featured for teams who got trounced by Spanish sides. Not many players in their best form either.

Garner a deserved spot, been Evertons best player this season imo. Another top display by Jimmy Garner tonight, certainly deserves a chance at international level. Of course some of the top clubs will be circling now , thankfully he signed a contract up until 2030 with the toffees and seems genuinely happy at the club. |
