This photo was taken at a charity match in the early 80's when they were both in their early 40's. Atkinson was United manager and Jim Smith was Oxford United manager, hence the kits. Nobody in their early 20's would look like that.

I posted this off twitter, where it was claimed they were
in their early 20s. I thought it was a funny photo. I changed my post to 20s. Knowing when photo was taken as it was on twitter. Oddly we've crept back to early 20s, as if somebody simply c&p early 20s. Thread somewhat inspired by teenagers scoring in Premier league.
