What a waste of 45 minutes from chelsea

Agree dreadfully dull stuff, Chelsea ensuring they are staying in the game. I'm assuming Chelsea will come out attacking 2nd half. Hopefully the game will open up, it's not comfortable for Arsenal as it stands.

Rice gets the ball and it’s like he’s playing for England under the waistcoat - he turns back.  Now that’s either mindset or there’s no enterprise/movement up front. 
SL text reckons fouls are 6 v 7.  Seemed a lot more than that when watching.

thank you chelsea for not scoring, because 30 minutes more of that I think the sanity of any human would be tested for watching it. the most boring semi final Ive ever witnessed

Chelsea more to blame for it being boring. They had to win, Arsenal didn't. Didn't even try to have a go until the last 15 mins when all they had was long shots. If they'd come at Arsenal more first half it would have been a better game.

Yes they could have scored first half plenty of gaps first half.

No Chelsea weren't mugged, they got what they deserved wasting first 60 mins by not even trying when they were losing the tie.

I was disappointed with Arsenal tonight. Rather than playing in 2nd gear, shutting up shop they should have played with the handbrake off as they did when beating Chelsea 3:2 in the first leg or when they put in an excellent performance thumping Leeds 4:0 at weekend. Glad for Havertz after his injury.

both teams was boring and anti football. that was as dull as it comes for a semi final. very poor quality

Chelsea did well to lull arsenal into their plan.

Didn't work, but about their best chance.



They don't care about fans they want to win.


Ultimately arsenal are into the final, I won't wish them

Arsenal played smart, didn't play into Chelsea's hands. They expected Chelsea to come out and have at go at them but for some stupid reason they didn't, even in the last 15 when they brought on more attackers. Chelsea played like they were the ones who went thru with a draw.

the way chelsea played tonight, i would say the manager is negative as the arsenal manager. no wonder its drab

Surely if Chelsea attacked recklessly they would have been
taken apart. Chelsea got about as close as they could, and
Arsenal made no mistakes.

This is a seriously good Arsenal team, if they add confidence
to their ability then can only improve.

Having Havertz back will I think be a big boost to them.  Rice had a great second half.  He sees things so instantly.

Took Chelsea 80 min's to realise they needed a goal
to stay in the cup.

A truly awful game to watch for the neutral.  It was a shame Arsenal didn't need to win so were just happy to contain Chelsea, who strangely looked as if they were equally happy to do likewise. What would the Blues have had to lose by having a real go ?  Yes they may have got picked apart by Arsenal on the counter attack, but better to go out trying to win rather than boring the terrestrial audience rigid.

Not a good advert for 2 leg semi finals unfortunately.

arsenal didnt need a goal granted, but sat in happy to take a 0-0, chelsea offered no ambition other then keep the ball and hope a shot from range would go in.  It was as drab as you could make it.Scrap two leg semifinals because City v Newcastle first leg was drab as well. Hopefully tonight will see Newcastle go for it and we have a open entertaining game.

An awful match for a neutral as I wrote before I wish Arsenal hadn't played with the handbrake on. Down to Chelea to show some ambition to win in the first 60-70 mins. I assume they were scared of getting blow away like in the first leg, where 1:4 would have been a fairer reflection of Arsenals dominance.

Can you imagine turning up through the rain to sit there for 90 minutes watching two teams serve up a game like that. you must be the only person on planet earth who found that as great football. it was anti football and will just drive the need to change the rules more, because more of that and football will lose the watching public.

I dont need Google I started going games 1967  Millwall with my Dad and all over London with brothers  and cousins and friends  my memory of football upto the 80,s is very good , me and mates were fanatics playing and watching . living near London Bridge made it easy to get to any grounds , it was easy to bunk fairs and some grounds were easy as well.. great days ,, unlike the Robots playing now whos names you cant pronounce.

Got me there Honch .. and ive been to Ibrox when Souness was in charge with some Chelsea mates who are pals with Rangers lads

  Just funning mate.  Souness had a great job there but just couldn’t keep a semi-civil relationship with the media/press.  Eventually couldn’t handle it.
