So it follows imvho, that English people make the rules of the game because they own it in the eyes of the law.
this means English people have the right to get rid of VAR if they wish to do so.ShockedShocked

On that basis, only the English have the right to pick up their ball and refuse to play. It's a liberty when an African team does it without a by your leave.

We are so good at it, we also invented picking up the ball and walking off, and invented the sport of Rugby at the same time. Grin

my point is that some dudes in pin stripe suits from the Netherlands invented VAR and decided it was a  good idea to make money.Shocked

i reckon they shudda scored but then let senegal score because i had 1£ on over 1.5 at 1000-1 in the 94th min, i was gutted they decided to do that , really they shudda scored then let sad man who was a captain then captain all the way thru it and still a captain now , i was wrong all the way thru about sadio mane and he is no sad man he is a S A DMAN hes a walking talking living legand , he sed he would do what his village said and i didnt believe him but look what he done and what wud his village of sed to do , his heart beats again in my eyes not because he won but he stood for the nation and the boy who took the penalty it seemed like it didnt matter who wudda took it (illias chair werent ther) i cud obnnly b wrong but in my opionion it was a tribute and brilliance shown about arfrican footballs morals in all aspects, it was genuis , who did they wanna please u no ppl have been killed for less and that ref really was right out of context, but the senegalise and morrocains went back to there basic roots of life and both agreed , it was a excellence shown and greatness by both sets of players and a stand point shown that african football from birth aint changed that much . congrats too both nations fans and players if u agree with this, god bless u and ur countries whatever the weather god bless

Scotland invented the game after the Battle of Bannockburn.  A few heads were removed for the first ever kick about.  Helmets used as goalposts.

there was evidence found that the Greeks and Chinese were playing football in 2000 b c

all the brits did was print a set of rules , like they did everywhere posing as the British empire

which kept them unbeaten at home (except for ireland beating them... never to be mentioned) but not at Wembley

but then the hungarians slaughtered them twice , due to an Irish coach, and they still come out with this utter rubbish

I heard that the game goes back to the Chinese too. We invented 'Association Football' and gave it rules, but the actual invention of the game is not ours.

That’s very controversial Aspro.  Association Football has laws, various F.A.’s have rules.  Is my understanding.  Sorry to be pedantic but when I went to referee school that point was haughtily made clear to me.  Which was why I only lasted one and a half classes!  Laugh
The ball shall be spherical!  Wink

You may well be right LH and I bow to your superior knowledge. I do have an FA Coaching badge (to teach children) and we never got into the origins; I only wrote what I believe I've understood over the years, but I do recall once reading about the Chinese link that Irish pointed out.

There were games of football type sport recorded by
lots of civilizations that wrote stuff down.

Likely noah enjoyed a kick about as most civilizations
have story of flood.

When english explorers in Elizabethan times encountered
natives in the arctic areas they found them playing a type
of football, and even joined in. Explorers wrote about
it, natives passed it down in oral tradition.

Dinosaurs invented football. Thats why you choose heads or tails to see who kicks off.

There have been many attempts to ban football, from the Middle Ages through to the modern days. The first such law was passed in England in 1314; it was followed by more than 30 in England alone between 1314 and 1667.

Sheffield F.C is the first team to play footbal AS WE KNOW IT, for centuries before that there were school , village and college teams playing ball kicking games of all sorts of rules. N,B the Ashbourne village game etc. Rugby was invented in 1823 when a chap picked up a FOOTBALL. and ran with it. They must have been playing some kind of football game then. Forty years before association football and Sheffield.

It is but Sheffield F.C are the oldest and they are still playing. They were formed by two men who were instrumental in forming the first rules of association football.  Their first match wasbetween their A team and their B team as there was no one else to play !

it started in a place called Rugby/ England. Two villages had a row over a big round rock of stone .so one village pushed the rock into the second village and the second village pushed it back.(ha ha,first ever match finished 1-1Grin
So the first village pushed it back and they made a rule of some sort about only pushing with the feet.Laugh
