Man Utd could do with a player like Mctominay! Would cost a few quid!

Rasmus Højlund too. Only a matter of time before Man U show some interest.

Look's like Rashford's decision to leave Man United to win trophies has paid off already
|

rashford came on for last 15 and fair enough it was hot and he had 2 long runs, but fook me looked like a 60 yr old trying to run back and defend in last 5 mins could hardly move his legs, his arris had completely blown a casket ,madrid missed 2 great chances in injury time to level should have burried one of them

Agree 1tp about Rashford, although think he is naturally lazy/not switched on defensively. The first of the two chances Madrid had in injury time was entirely preventable if Rashford had made any effort. It was that bad, I personally wouldn't even pick him in the England squad. I hope Tuchel was watching. He can't be trusted imo

He turned his back on the play and literally walked away. It was just bizarre

Just Googled "Marcus Rashford turns back on play and walks away" and this is what I got from AI....
Marcus Rashford's tendency to "turn his back on play and walk away" has been a frequent point of criticism regarding his defensive work rate and on-field body language during his time at Manchester United Defensive Effort Criticisms: In late 2025 and early 2026, critics like Roy Keane have highlighted Rashford's body language—specifically not running back or pressing properly—as a key area needing improvement. Similar criticisms were noted during his loan spell at FC Barcelona, where coaching staff identified a lack of defensive focus as his main weakness. |

I find it quite bizarre that forward players/strikers are expected to do so much “defending”. The game has always been simple. The better players attack and the less skilled defend. So, defenders DEFEND. The most that should be expected from strikers is deterrence and hustling of oppos. in possession. Maybe that is what is meant.
In my experience some players just can’t defend. They don’t have the mentality somehow. They can however read the game and do as much as possible to Harry and deter. |

it was in injury time formations.tactics go out of window its just about gertting behind ball making yourself a nusiance,he could/should have took ball in to the corner a min earlier ,kept the ball, try to win a throw in,free kick, corner etc but went for a glory goal ,give madrid easy possession of the ball back
