There is no other option, Romero post has saved him in a way as it was impossible to sack him based on results after that post from Romero. But the numpty has lost the entire fan base or at least 80% of them from drinking from an Arsenal cup before another defeat. The club at this moment is a complete mess and it cant go on any further. it has sale written all over it |

Nobody knows yet Tony; you're jumping the gun a little early here. Levy has gone and ONLY NOW do have we had the opportunity to see what this new hierarchy are about.
If they make little effort in this window then (and only then) do you have a point. If again nothing in the summer then you are probably right. Let's give them (at least) this window to see what develops before writing them off. On the manager front, Frank is losing us fast, of that there is no argument. |

I'm still of the opinion (maybe wrongly) that a few purchases to steady the ship in this window, together with a half-decent summer, then it could be a whole new ball game come August.

Without him there is no actual leadership at the club. The numpty fan base got their wish when Daniel Levy got the push. But look where Spurs are now.. A new mmanager shorn of Maddison & Solanke who is working out the squad is no better than the one he had at Brentford. He will keep them up. Look at the Hammers if you want to see the future if you sack the manager. |

Did you see last season? As in 17th place, one place above the drop zone. Spurs won the first Europa League in which there were 0 teams parachuted in from the champions League. They managed to scrape past the likes of Bodo Glimt before meeting 'the worst Man Utd team in history' (quote the Man Utd manager) in what was a distinctly unmemorable Final. The Spurs players were unable to adapt to the style of play of Mourinho, Conte nor Big Ange. They are not an elite bunch. All the evidence points to the fact that Frank is getting as much out of them as he can. Its unlikely anyone else would be able to do much better |

For me, looking from the outside, most successful clubs sack managers after a bad run or before a rebuild. Spurs seem to specialise in doing it: right before a cup final, when continuity would actually help right after a cup final, when the dust hasn’t even settled or in the middle of a season where they’re still in touching distance of a decent season at times brilliant to watch. When they click, they look like a side capable of beating anyone. But when the pressure ramps up, that self‑destruct button starts glowing like it’s begging to be pressed. Proven winners dont get the time to put things right, so most probably wont give a good manager and decent person in Frank the opportunity to do what he has done and make thee club a competitor. |

The club had a clear direction under Levy.
It has none now. Joe Lewis is older than Methuselah. He either wants to sell or pass the club on to his children. The last part of that sentence ought to be striking fear into any Spurs supporter. At the moment Thomas Frank is the only person giving leadership to the club. He understands English football and has been eking out the sort of results which the club were unable to get last year. I have seen deluded Spurs fans on social media calling for guys like Xavi Hernandez. The high priest of tiki taka football from Barca. I really dont understand the mentality of some people. |

I agree, particularly with the first sentence, but it was simply impossible to convince some couldn’t see beyond the ends of their noses Spurs fans at the time.
It could take years for the Club to regain its poise, imo. |

As I said earlier, let's see this window out first and possibly even the next one before passing judgement. This is still Levy's squad and it is not a good one at all; who else is to blame for it? I just want to see if changes are afoot before being critical of what is yet an unknown factor.

I would be surprised if Spurs signed anyone of quality this window.
I imagine it can not be so easy being the sporting director of an EPL club trying to negotiate a transfer in the January window. The selling club is going to think its xmas. The player is going to want silly money and thats before the Agent sticks his oar in, no doubt wanting a king's ransom. Levy was of course a master of the art. No idea what the new guy, the Arsenal tea boy, Vinai Venkat is about. I wouldnt be hoping he is going to lure Victor Osimhen after AFCON is over tho. |

He's definitely not the most inspirational of characters. He's saying that Spurs "are not really a Champions league team", told the media at the start of the season that he expects to lose a lot of games and always seems happy with the team's performances (no matter how poor they played). Who knows what he's saying to the players in private. He's brought his small club mentality with him to Spurs. The players clearly don't respect him and there is not one player in this squad that has improved since his arrival. His pragmatic/safety first brand of football is mostly unwatchable and the results are awful. The doom cycle started months ago and there is no way he can turn this around. Walking around the Bournemouth pitch with an Arsenal branded coffee cup during the week might be the final nail in his coffin. How can "a details man" be so careless? (or maybe it was intentional.

Anther example of the manager doing well at one of the smaller clubs becoming lost when stepping up to one of the "historical" bigger clubs, take heed United if eyeing up Glasner or Iraola.

I agree. Van de Ven I’m sure thinks he’s Beckenbauer. Palinha was so disappointingly ( to me ) belligerent and dirty. Something not right with the mentality.

Club is a total laughing stock. The recruitment is the major issue. Mercenaries like Kolo Muani who thinks he is above it all coming from a club like PSG. That type of attitude is toxic. Romero is the same and Tel coming from Munich. Simons, Kudus and Richarlison ffs all looking out for themselves.
Frank is a good coach who has shown little ego in his time in the PL. |
