Nothing summarise the misery of footy these day more than Pep's responce...

.. to the wonderful Cherki Rabona setting up the Foden header. In years gone by  even the most dour of managers would have lauded the great skill and brilliance of it. But in Pep's world  (and all of his acolytes) the best he can up with is some pathetic comparison to Messi "not doing it". He would no doubt have preferred him to cut back and retain possession.......... back to the keeper 90 yards away and re-cycle , eternally, across the back , into the middle , back , across etc etc ad infinitum. I don't deny he is a great manager, but honestly, how can you not just say   ............."brilliant, so glad he did it, that's what we play the game to see". One wonders what satisfaction he derives from footy.
