if you think you support a club with bad owners, just be grateful you don't have the type of clowns running your club that have been running Sheffield Wednesday the last few years, Kind Regards.

I stopped watching Sheffield Wednesday when I started working early shifts on Thursday.

Interestingly when I became old enough to be aware of these things (mid 50s) Thursday was definitely early-closing day in Sheffield. of course it may have changed since the 19th century.
When I was growing up all we young boys supported United or Wednesday.It would have been unthinkful for anybody to support Man Utd or Liverpool. |

Thinking whether this makes Sheff Wed a decent bet today - home to Oxford who are the second lowest side.
The fans might well give a rallying support for their side here today, and it's a new era whichever way you look at it - I'd see a home win fairly likely in fact. |

salmon, my Grandad used to rave on about he would go to see Hibs at home one Saturday and Hearts at home the next. And I heard it often from others too as I grew into football. They won the Scottish title six or seven times between them in the fifties, so you can see the logic. Then the “bovver” seventies came along and the opposite became the norm. I well remember changing ends at half time, orderly lines of opposing fans passing each other with little incident. Telling kids that today is like telling them we used to go into a red box to use a phone!

I STILL revere the Lisbon Lions. One of the all time highlights of my football life and education. And I’m not a Celtic man either.
I STILL have it on my telly library and watch it every so often. Absolutely fantastic. Without Sarti Celtic win 6-1!!!!! |

For all of fat Ashley's faults he might do a decent
job of getting sheff wed back on track. He was a poor owner for Newcastle in that he didnt have a clue what his asset was worth and how to grow it. But at least he didn't add to our debts If he's learnt even a little bit from his time at newcastle then sheff we'd could do OK, if you don't mind spurts direct adverts plastered all over the place |
