Have you ever heard something so dumb.

The Phase "Turkey's voting for Christmas" has never been more apt.

Would only possibly be workable if every major league was on board plus the Saudi's, and they're hellbent on making the league the biggest in the world, and they're not going to do that by offering peanuts are they. They'd be rubbing their hands together at the Premier League opening their floodgates for all the stars to suddenly leave enmasse ffs.

Kind Regards.

We've had this promise for years that all the star players were going to leave Europe for the money. The global heavyweights, US and China, tried to break the market and failed abysmally. Now it's Saudi but, seriously, what future do they really have if they can't even attract Salah at the end of his career?

Given that salary caps apply to teams not players it should just mean that eventually teams will work out they are paying too little to star players that actually matter and far too much to squad-filler players that make virtually no difference. That's the way it has gone in the sports that have had salary caps for a long time.
